  • 2 cups dried turnip leaves
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • Water


  1. Rinse the dried turnip leaves in cold water to remove any dust or debris. Soak them in warm water for about 30 minutes, or until they become soft.
  2. Drain the water from the turnip leaves and squeeze out the excess water.
  3. In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
  5. Add the minced garlic and green chillies, and sauté for another minute.
  6. Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add the soaked turnip leaves and stir to combine with the spices.
  8. Pour enough water to cover the turnip leaves.
