Recipe: Kewa Datse (Potato with Cheese)
Kewa Datse (Potato with cheese)
* 3 medium sized potatoes
* 3 red chillies
* 2 cloves of garlic
* 1/2 tsp butter
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 soup bowl of water
* 1/2 cup grated cheese or a ball of cheese
Peel the potatoes and cut into desired shapes. Chop the chillies and slice or crush the garlic. Start off first by cooking the potatoes, chillies and garlic with salt and butter. When the potatoes are more or less cooked, add cheese. Further cook till the cheese melts and blends well with the other ingredients.
Kewa Datse is everyone’s favorite. One can tone down the chillies or cook without them. This dish goes well with any kind of bread, rice or salad.
