Recipe: Datsi Marngo (Cheese Fried in Butter)


Datse Marngo (Cheese fried in butter)


* 3 balls of cheese

* 130 g of butter

* 2 eggs

* a piece of garlic

* A piece of ginger

* 1/2 tsp chilli powder

* Salt

* Spring onions


Cook crushed cheese with two cups of water and butter for 5 minutes, with the lid closed. Next, add eggs, garlic, ginger and salt. Blend well so that cheese and eggs become almost indistinguishable. Garnish with spring onions.


Datse Marngo is also a supplement dish offered to a VIP. It goes very well with rice. The name literally means fried cheese in butter but it is good to add a little water in the beginning so that the cheese gets cooked.
